27-05-2012 Boat blessing

The season is traditionally opened with Boat Blessing (23 May 2010). The boats sail in keel alignment and pass the ‘Paep van Meinecom III’, where a priest blesses the boat and its crew and wishes them a safe journey. The boat blessing is rounded off by the participants with an extensive brunch.

25-08-2012 Candlelight Tour

The Candlelight Tour (28 August 2010) is an evening voyage. Participants decorate their boats with festive lights and compete for the ‘best decorated vessel’ prize. The evening is rounded off with a reception that includes drinks and snacks.

After the end of the summer season we organise an autumn walk (28 November 2010). A guide leads us through a nature reserve. The walk and fresh air makes everybody hungry so we also organise a delicious brunch!
